Tip #1: Vibration Feedback
The Samsung Eternity™ has haptic response, which means it provides your customers with tactile “feedback†when they touch the phone. Your customers can adjust the intensity of this feedback, or eliminate it altogether, by touching Menu > Settings > Phone > Vibration Feedback, then adjusting the sliding scale to their preferences and pressing Save.
Tip #2: Accessing Mobile TV
Accessing AT&T Mobile TV is easy. Just press Menu > TV. If your customer isn’t already a subscriber, he or she can subscribe by following the simple prompts on the phone. Your customers can also access AT&T Mobile TV directly from the Widget Bar.
Tip #3: Activating Video Share
After your customers have pressed Menu > Tools > Camera, or pressed and held the camera button on the right side of the phone to access the camera, they can touch the camera icon on the upper left-hand side of the screen and choose Video Share to launch this feature. The icon will change to Video Share.
If your customer and the person he or she is calling are both Video Share subscribers and have the feature activated, it’s even easier. They simply place the call to the active phone, and both caller and recipient will see the Video Share indicator. The recipient can either accept or reject the call.
Tip #4: Pinpointing Location
Your customers can quickly pinpoint their exact location by touching Menu > AT&T GPS > WHERE.
Tip #5: Identifying Songs
The Eternity™ can help your customers identify the song they’re hearing at a club, during a game, or on the radio. Touch Menu > Music > Music ID. In a second or two, they’ll hear a sound that lets them know that the phone is “listening†to the music. Hold the phone as close to the music source as possible, and it will identify the song and give your customer the opportunity to purchase it, along with any companion wallpapers or ring tones.
Tip #6: Messaging Using the QWERTY Keyboard
Your customers can access the QWERTY keyboard for IM or Text messaging by touching Menu > Messaging > Create Message, adding the recipient, then tilting the phone to the side and tapping the center screen. A horizontally placed QWERTY keyboard will appear. Tilting will also provide a horizontal view for the camera, browser, and AT&T Mobile TV.
Tip #7: White Balance Adjustments
Your customer can either let the camera automatically set white balance levels or set their own for the specific lighting conditions. Touch Menu > Tools > Camera, then touch the top right-hand box. They can choose from auto, daylight, incandescent, fluorescent, and cloudy. Once selected, that icon will appear in the upper right-hand box.
Tip #8: Adding a new Favorite website.
Your customers can add a favorite website by touching Menu > MEdia Net > Enter URL, entering the URL they want, then checking the box by Add to Favorites by touching the box.
Tip #9: Inserting Media into Messages
After your customers have typed their message, they can add a picture, video, or audio clip, or a Favorites URL. Simply press Insert in the lower option bar, have them choose when they want to add, and follow the prompts.
