AT & T HTC Tilt 2 soft reset :
A soft reset basically resets the AT & T htc tilt2 memory structure in the handheld. This recovers the device from memory conflicts, corrupted system service chains (mainly due to attempting hacks), memory leaks, and system lockups due to the “Fatal Exception” program errors. Removing the battery from the device while it is still powered on is NOT a soft reset and can actually damage the device.
A Soft Reset is performed by:
Remove the Battery cover AT & T htc tilt2 and the Stylus from the AT & T htc tilt2
Insert the tip of the stylus into the Reset hole located at the entry point of the stylus.
The device will reboot.
AT & T HTC Tilt 2 Hard Reset
A hard reset basically returns AT & T htc tilt2 to its shipped factory conditions, the device is restored to its default settings – the way it was when you first purchased it and turned it on.
Any programs you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on your device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other pre-installed programs will remain. This is a drastic step, and usually only as a result of some kind of hardware failure or gross system error. It should only be used if nothing else worked to recover your device.
