Got New At & t samsung Mythic A897 cell phones, if you want to transfer/sync mp3 files to Your Samsung Mythic for AT&T,, You have different options to go, you may transfer mp3 files through memory card ,Via Bluetooth, from another phone, Using PC Studio, From a PC, via a Bluetooth adaptor, Using Windows Media Player, Using Mass Storage.
Samsung Mobile USA give the details steps by steps guide for transfer mp3 music files between PC and your AT & T samsung Mythic A897.
1) To transfer MP3 files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to a PC follow the steps below:
- From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio or Ask on Connection
- For instructions on changing the USB mode setting
- Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
on the top of the display

- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
- If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
- The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
- Click on the SGH-A897 icon, located in the upper right corner, to open a box showing the handset’s internal memory
- Double click on the Audio folder then double click on the Music folder
- Click on the My Computer icon
, located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC’s  internal memory - Navigate to the PC’s MP3 file location, or desired destination

- Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the MP3 files between the My Computer box and the SGH-A897 box or vice versa
- After the successful transfer of the MP3 file(s), click on OK in the Device Explorer or My Computer box
- Now it is safe to disconnect the USB data cable from both the handset & PC
2)To transfer MP3 files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:
- Insert a formatted memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover
- From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Mass Storage or Ask on Connection
- For instructions on changing the USB mode setting, click here.
- Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
on the top of the display

- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
- If prompted, Select the Mass Storage USB setting
- If prompted, click “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer†on the new Removable Disk screen or open Windows Explorer manually

- Navigate to the MP3 file location on the PC
- Drag n Drop or copy & paste the MP3 file into into the phone’s Music or Tones folders, located within the Audio folder, on the handset
3) To transfer MP3 files, using the Windows Media Player Sync Music option, follow the steps below:
- From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Media Player or Ask on Connection
- For instructions on changing the USB mode setting, click here.
- Connect the USB cable to both the phone’s Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC’s USB slot
- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
on the top of the display

- When successfully connected, the phone will show the connected icon
- If prompted, select the Media Player USB setting
- Open Windows Media Player 10 or higher then click on the Sync tab
- From the Windows Media Player application Sync tab, ensure that the SGH-A897 device displays in the upper-right corner of the screen. If not, click on Next device until the SGH-A897 appears.
- Click on the Library plus sign (+) then click on Songs to display a list
- Drag or Add the MP3 file(s) from the library to the Sync List or playlist
- Select Start Sync to transfer the MP3 file(s) to the handset memory
- After the file transfer is completed it will be safe to remove the USB data cable from both the handset & PC
4) To transfer (Via a memory card) MP3 files, from a PC, to the Samsung phone follow the steps below:
In order to use this option, the microSD memory card must be formatted by the phone to create the necessary folders. For instructions on how to format a microSD memory card, click here. Please note that the minimum size limit for the microSD memory card is 32MB. This handset supports the use of a microSDHC 16GB capacity memory card.
Note: Audio files less than 300 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 300 KB are stored in the Music Folder. You can not set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 300 KB.
On the PC
- Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card adaptor
- Insert the memory card adaptor into the memory card reader
- Connect the memory card reader to the PC’s USB port
- Copy desired MP3 files from the PC hard drive
- Paste the MP3 files into the microSD memory card’s Music or Tones folder, within the Audio folder
- Remove the microSD memory card from the memory card adaptor
On the Samsung phone
- Insert the microSD memory card into the memory card slot, located under the battery cover
- From the standby screen, press Menu
- Scroll to Main Menu 3 then press My Stuff
- Press the drop down arrow then press Memory Card
- Press Audio
- Press either the Music or Tones folder
- Press Manage
- Press either Move or Copy
- Press on each MP3 file to check their boxes or press All to check all boxes
- Press either Move or Copy
- Press Phone
- Press the Audio folder
- Press either the Tones or Music folder
- Press either Paste here or Move here to Move or Copy the MP3 file(s) to the handset
5) To transfer MP3 files, Via Bluetooth, from another phone to the Samsung phone follow the steps below:

- While in standby mode, turn Bluetooth On  (For instructions click here)
- Change the phone’s Bluetooth visibility to On  (For instructions click here)
- While in standby mode, activate Bluetooth by turning it On
- Search for new Bluetooth devices
- Press the phone name (SGH-A897)
- Exchange the PIN Codes on both devices to pair the phones (the default code is “0000â€)
- Browse for desired MP3 file(s)
- Transfer data from phone to phone
